Bus 16 will have additional services to Helsinki Zoo on Friday and Saturday evenings due to the Night of Cats. Additional services will operate on 2–3 September and 9–10 September approximately between 5pm and 11pm.
The extra services will run from the Railway Square to Korkeasaari approximately every 20–30 minutes from 5.17pm. Bus route 16 from the Railway Square to Korkeasaari is diverted via Hakaniemi from 22 August due to track work in Kruununhaka. Also the route in the direction of the Railway Square will be diverted in Kaisaniemi from Monday 5 September. For more information, read our service update.
Additional services from Korkeasaari to the Railway Square will run from about 5.45pm. Additional services from Korkeasaari will operate on route 16X, which does not run the loop around Kulosaari, i.e. the additional services do not link with the metro at Kulosaari station.
You can also get from Kalasatama to Korkeasaari via the Isoisänsilta pedestrian and cycling bridge. The bridge to Korkeasaari is about a kilometers walk from Kalasatama Metro Station and the stops for trunk bus routes 500 and 510. The “Flöitti Dianan kuja” stop for bus route 59 on Aallonhalkoja is also close to Isoisänsilta Bridge.
