U and L trains to be replaced with buses between Espoo and Kirkkonummi and Espoo and Siuntio on the night of 24 August

U and L train services will be replaced with buses between Espoo and Kirkkonummi and Espoo and Siuntio from Wednesday 24 August 10.30pm to Thursday 25 August 5.30am. The reason for the arrangement is track work that is being carried out in Espoo. Replacement bus 211X runs from the Espoo station to Kirkkonummi and bus 182X from Kirkkonummi to Siuntio.

The last train to Kirkkonummi on Wednesday evening 24 August is the 9.42pm U train from Helsinki. The first train from Kirkkonummi on Thursday morning is the 5.27am L train. The trains will run according to their regular timetables between Helsinki and Espoo.

Replacement bus 211X will run between the Espoo station and the Kirkkonummi Travel Center. Additionally, the L train to Siuntio at night has been replaced with bus route 182X Kirkkonummi–Siuntio. However, the L train that normally leaves from Siuntio at 0.28am will not operate and no replacement bus will take its place.

Bus 211X will depart from bay 32 at the Espoo station. The bus will serve the following stops along its route: “Kauklahden asema”, “Masalan asema”, “Jorvaksen asema”, “Tolsa” and “Laajakalliontie”. The bus will depart from bay 12 in Kirkkonummi.

The L train that leaves to Siuntio at night will be replaced with bus 182X that leaves from Espoo at 11.40pm (as bus 211X) and from Kirkkonummi (bay 15) at 0.22am. In Siuntio, the bus will serve the “Sudenkaari” and “Siuntion rautatieasema” stops.

You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus

The replacement buses have open fare collection. This means that you can board the buses also through the middle doors. You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus, that is, valid tickets of both HSL and VR.
