On Sundays 16 October and 23 October 9.30am to 10pm, K trains will only run between Tikkurila and Kerava to special timetables. I trains will also run to special timetables, ahead of the usual timetables. The timetables for both K and I trains are available in the Journey Planner. The service changes are due to switch work carried out in Oulunkylä. Due to the works, some track will be closed between Pasila and Tikkurila.
Passengers are advised to allow extra time for journeys involving trains running via Tikkurila on both Sunday especially between 5.30am and 9.30am. During this time, all trains operating along the main line will use the tracks normally reserved for commuter trains only and additional delays of a few minutes up to 10 minutes are possible.
The track work in Oulunkylä will take place from Saturday evening 11pm to Monday morning 5.50am on both weekends. There may also be other minor delays to I, P and K trains due to the works.
Changes to train services on 16 October and 23 October in detail
- K trains from Helsinki between 9.29am and 9.44pm are cancelled. K trains will depart from Tikkurila and they will run to special timetables. The trains will depart from Tikkurila every 15 minutes 9.55am to 10.10pm.
- You can travel as far as Hiekkaharju by I train. If you are travelling further to stations served by K trains, you need to change from I train to K train at Tikkurila or Hiekkaharju station.

- K trains from Kerava between 10.01am and 9.46pm will terminate at Tikkurila station and they will run to special timetables. K trains will depart from Kerava every 15 minutes.
- If you are travelling to Helsinki from north of Hiekkaharju, we advise you to change from K train to P train at Hiekkaharju station.
- K trains that normally depart from Kerava between 9.57pm and 10.27pm will depart four minutes later, i.e. 10.01pm, 10.16pm and 10.31pm. These K trains will run to Helsinki.
- I trains that normally depart from Helsinki between 9.36am and 9.36pm will depart seven minutes earlier. The trains will run every 15 minutes, as usual.
- These I trains will wait for seven minutes at Helsinki Airport. From there on, the trains will run to normal timetables via Myyrmäki and Huopalahti to Helsinki.
- We will add extra carriages to I trains from Helsinki between 9.29am and 9.29pm, to P trains from Helsinki between 9.18am and 9.23pm as well as to K trains from Helsinki at 9.59pm and from Kerava at 10.42pm.
