From Saturday 10 September, changes will be made to the Metro timetables that affect Saturday and Sunday services. Certain morning and evening services that have previously run only between Tapiola and Mellunmäki will in the future run all the way to or depart from Matinkylä.
As a result of the changes, the route number of those services that run from Mellunmäki to Matinkylä instead of Tapiola will also change. The route number of these services will be changed to M1. Respectively, the route number of services from Matinkylä to Mellunmäki will be changed to M2.
Additionally, certain individual services will undergo changes from Saturday 10 September and Friday 16 September. All the above-mentioned changes and exceptions in timetables are also available on the Journey Planner. The reason for the changes is track work that is being carried out on the new Kivenlahti metro line.
