Track work will cause changes to the services of R and T trains at night between Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 November and Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 December. Replacement bus 969X will run between Kerava and Riihimäki via the intermediate stations.
Please note that there are also other disruptions that affect the services of R and T trains between Kerava and Järvenpää that will be in place until the middle of December. More information can be found in this separate bulletin.
Impact on R and T train services
From the direction of Helsinki
- The 0.40am R train from Helsinki and the 1.51am T train from Helsinki will terminate at Kerava.
- The 1.30am R train from Järvenpää to Riihimäki and the 3.04am T train from Järvenpää to Riihimäki are cancelled.
- Replacement bus 969X will depart from Kerava at 1.08am and 2.33am and run to Riihimäki via the intermediate stations.
From the direction of Riihimäki
- The 2.33am T train from Riihimäki to Järvenpää is cancelled.
- Replacement bus 969X will depart from Riihimäki at 2.48am and run via the intermediate stations (Jokela 3.18am) to Kerava, where passengers can change to the 4.04am K train to Helsinki.
- The replacement bus will leave from Järvenpää at 3.38am. The 3.09am service from Järvenpää to Kerava is cancelled.
All the above-mentioned R and T trains will be low-floor. Additionally, replacement bus 969X will also have low-floor.

Stops served by the bus in the HSL area
- Kerava station: bay 11 (Ke0408) in the direction of Riihimäki.
- Ainola: stops Heinähäntä (Jä2156), Ainola Länsi (Jä2162) and Pohjola (Jä2223) in the direction of Kerava. Stops Pohjola (Jä2224), Ainola Länsi (Jä2161) and Heinähäntä (Jä2157) in the direction of Riihimäki.
- Järvenpää station: bay 11 (Jä2121) in the direction of Kerava and bay 16 (Jä2126) in the direction of Riihimäki.
- Saunakallio: Saunakallio (Jä2017) on Wärtsilänkatu, in the direction of Kerava, and Saunakallio (Jä2018) in the direction of Jokela.
- Jokela: Jokelan asema (Tu6101) on Jokelantie in the direction of Kerava and Jokelan asema (Tu6100) in the direction of Riihimäki.
You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus
You can board the buses also through the middle doors. You do not need to show your valid ticket to the driver. You can use the same tickets as for the trains when travelling on a replacement bus, that is, valid tickets of both HSL and VR.
