Fredrikinkatu entrance to Kamppi metro station to be closed form 4 December
Preparatory works on the construction of a new health and wellbeing center in Kamppi are moving to the next phase. The works will cause changes to access to the Kamppi metro station. The western entrance to the metro station will be closed from 4 December.
Access to the metro station will be via the Kamppi Shopping Center and the bus terminal. The lifts at the western entrance will remain in use and they can be accessed via Kampinkuja. The lifts should only be used by people with mobility impairments, people with prams and people travelling with a bicycle to avoid congestion.
Ticket hall to be demolished
The health and wellbeing center received a building permit on 9 November and the actual construction work is set to begin at the start of 2024. The construction will begin with works underneath Runeberginkatu and between Salomonkatu and the ticket hall. The ticket hall will be demolished at some stage. A new ticket hall will be build on the street level of the health and wellbeing center.
