HSL and Helsinki Cup recommend: use public transport to get to
the football field
Helsinki Cup, one the biggest junior football tournaments in
Europe, will take place in Helsinki from 8 through 13 July 2013 for
the 38th time. All match venues are easily accessible with public
transport, which means you can avoid traffic jams and parking
problems.
Some 950 junior football teams from 13 countries are expected to
the tournament. This means about 19,000 footballers and their
support teams. The participating countries include, for example,
Iceland, Mexico, Tanzania, Brazil, France, Lebanon and India.
All of the football pitches located around Helsinki are well
served by public transport. Use the

Planner to find the best routes. In order to encourage the use
of public transport during the tournament, HSL has granted free
tickets for the organizers of the Helsinki Cup and some of the
players.
If you are coming to the tournament and plan to make several
journeys during one day or several days, a day ticket is the best
option for you.You can choose a ticket for 1 – 7 days. The tickets
are available from HSL’s ticket machines and R-kiosks in the
metropolitan area, for example. There are Helsinki internal tickets
and regional tickets valid in the entire Helsinki metropolitan
area. The tickets are valid on all public transport.
