Kutsuplus increasing in popularity

The number of users of HSL’s Kutsuplus service is rapidly increasing. The service was opened for all users in April 2013 and by May 2014 the number of passengers had increased nearly five-fold.

In May, in total 4,455 journeys were made on Kutsuplus buses. Customer satisfaction has remained high: in the latest survey, customers gave Kutsuplus a score of 4.6 on a scale of 1-5. The users also participate in the development of the service through feedback and surveys.

Kutsuplus operates real-time on the basis of customer bookings, without fixed routes or timetables. Rides are booked online and paid with a Trip Wallet, which is part of the service. Kutsuplus buses take passengers from stop to stop without transfers or worries about parking. Customers get an email link to real-time instructions for getting from their departure address to the stop and from the stop to their destination. Customers can also see their own location on a map, as well as the location of the Kutsuplus bus.

The service area extends to Tapiola and Leppävaara in the west, to Itäkeskus in the east and to Ring Road I in the north. Kutsuplus serves Monday to Friday 6am – 11pm. On 18 August, the service hours will extend to midnight, when new vehicles enter into service.

Kutsuplus rides available also in the summer

On Midsummer Eve Friday 20 June, Kutsuplus does not operate. Otherwise, Kutsuplus operates Monday to Friday 6am – 11pm throughout the summer.
