Public transport services over the Easter weekend

On Maundy Thursday, HSL public transport services operated a Friday service. On Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday a Sunday service will operate. On Holy Saturday, there are additional bus services to Seurasaari on route 24S. Tram routes 7A and 7B are diverted on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday due ot Via Crucis Easter procession.

On Maundy Thursday 24 March

  • Friday service
  • Service routes in Espoo and demand responsive routes in Kirkkonummi operate a Thursday service.
  • Bus services marked with a plus (+) do not operate. However, the services marked with a plus are operated on Sipoo bus routes as well as U line 346.
  • Helsinki internal route 91, Espoo internal routes 70, 71 and 565B as well as Vantaa internal routes 573 and 588 do not operate at all.

On Good Friday 25 March

  • Sunday service
  • U line SS services will not operate.
  • Night buses will operate on Friday/Saturday night. For timetables, see the Journey Planner
  • Also the following commuter trains will run on the night of Good Friday:
  1. L trains Helsinki-Kirkkonummi at 1.59am, 2.59am and 3.59am
  2. N trains Helsinki-Kerava at 0.14am, 1.14am, 2.14am, 3.14am and Kerava-Helsinki at 0.57am, 1.57am, 2.57am and 3.57am
  3. T trains Helsinki-Kerava-Riihimäki at 2.44am and 4.01am and Riihimäki-Kerava-Helsinki at 0.52am and 1.52am
  4. H train Riihimäki-Kerava-Helsinki at 11.14pm

On Holy Saturday 26 March

  • Saturday service
  • Additional services on Helsinki internal route 24S Erottaja-Seurasaari (do not run via Hietaniemi):
  • Erottaja–Seurasaari at 5.23pm, 6.03pm, 6.44pm, 7.42pm and 8.38pm.
  • Seurasaari–Erottaja at 7.15pm, 8.15pm and 9.02pm

On Easter Sunday 27 March

  • Sunday service
  • Night bus services will operate on Sunday/Monday night, timetables from Journey Planner
  • U line SS services will not operate.
  • Also the following commuter trains will run on the night of Easter Sunday:
  1. L trains Helsinki-Kirkkonummi at 1.59am, 2.59am and 3.59am
  2. N trains Helsinki-Kerava at 11.44pm, 0.44am, 1.14am, 2.14am, 3.14am and Kerava-Helsinki at 0.27am, 1.57am, 2.57am and 3.57am
  3. T trains Helsinki-Kerava-Riihimäki at 2.44am and 4.14am and Riihimäki-Kerava-Helsinki at 0.52am and 1.52am

On Easter Monday 28 March

  • Sunday service

HSL Customer Services over the Easter holiday

On Maundy Thursday, HSL's service point at the Central Railway Station is open until 5pm. The service point in Itäkeskus is open until 5pm and the service point is Pasila until 4pm. The service points are closed from Good Friday until Easter Monday, with the exception of the service point at the Central Railway Station, which is open on Holy Saturday 10am-3pm. 

HSL Customer Service line on (09) 4766 4000 is open as usual on Maundy Thusday (until 7pm), from Good Friday to Easter Monday 9am-5pm.
