Season ticket refund due to the walkout by Nobina bus drivers on 21 September 2017

Nobina bus drivers staged a walkout from 3am on Thursday 21 September disrupting bus services operated by Nobina. The walkout runs until Friday morning 3am. Season ticket customers can get a refund for their season tickets if they were unable to use public transport for their regular journeys during the industrial action. Passengers can claim a refund by completing the application form within two months of the industrial action.

HSL’s guidelines for season ticket refunds will be applied as follows: If the passenger’s season ticket was valid during the walkout, the passenger can get refund for maximum one day. Passengers can get refund for a season ticket loaded on a Travel Card if they can reliably show that they have not been able to use public transport on their usual journeys during the industrial action. The refund will be granted as a season ticket or value loaded on the Travel Card on the basis of a claim for refund once the industrial action is over.

The refund application must be submitted within two months from the end of the industrial action. You can submit the refund application at any Travel Card service point or mail it directly to HSL: HSL PO Box 101, 00077 HSL. The refund applications will be processed as soon as possible once the stoppage is over.

HSL will process each application and inform customers of the decision my mail. Customers will get the refund to their bank accounts or to their Travel Cards at service points.
