The lift at the A entrance (Jänkäpolku) at the west end of the station is renovated first. The lift was closed on Monday 10 September.
The original plan was to start the works at the east end of the station. However, because the escalator at the B entrance broke down on Monday 10 September, the lift reburbishment works are started at the A entrance.
The escalator at the B entrance is being repaired and the repair works will be completed by mid-September.
Access to the platforms from the B entrance is by lift and stairs, from the A entrance by escalator and stairs. The refurbishment works at the A entrance will be completed at the end of October. After that, the works will continue at the B entrance and will be completed in December.
The works are carried out by Helsinki City Transport (HKL). HKL apologizes for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
