The closest accessible routes from the metro to the Central Railway Station and from the street level to the metro are via Helsinki University or Kamppi Metro Stations. Cyclists and passengers traveling with prams or wheelchairs or carrying large luggage should use these stations.
Accessible routes from the Central Railway Station to the metro:
Eastbound journeys: Tram 3, 6, 6T, 7 or 9 from the “Rautatieasema” stop H0301 in front of the station on Kaivokatu to the Helsinki University or Hakaniemi Metro Station.
Westbound journeys (in the direction of Espoo): Tram 7 or 9 from the “Rautatieasema” stop H0302 in front of the station on Kaivokatu to Kampintori tram stops. The easiest way from Kampintori to Kamppi Metro Station is to walk along Fredrikinkatu about 50 meters in the direction of Töölö to the other side of Sähkötalo where there is an entrance to the station.
Accessible routes from the metro to Kaivokatu and the Central Railway Station
From the east, metro to the Helsinki University Metro Station, take exit A to the tram stops on Kaisaniemenkatu and tram 3, 6, 6T or 9 to Kaivokatu (stop in front of the Central Railway Station). Alternatively, you can take exit G at the Helsinki University Metro Station and pass through the Railway Square. Exit G is in the so called Fennia Building on Mikonkatu.
There are accessible routes to the Central Railway Station and the platforms from Elielinaukio and from Bergbominkuja at the edge of Kaisaniemenpuisto Park.
From the west, metro to the Kamppi Metro Station, take exit A, B or C to the Kampintori stop H0824 and tram 7 or 9 to Kaivokatu (stop in front of the Central Railway Station). From this direction, the closest accessible route to the Central Railway Station is from the Elielinaukio side.
