Culture Tram to a new route

The Culture Tram will move to a new route on Wednesday 20
June. The tram will operate under route number 5 and it will run
from Töölön halli via Kamppi and Central Railway Station to Ensi
Linja.

To mark the new route, HSL offers a free ride on the Culture
Tram on Wednesday 20 June. There will be music by Olavi Uusivirta
duo, and HSL will distribute 200 flowers for passengers.

The Culture Tram runs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1pm
to 4pm. Live performances start at 3pm when the tram leaves the
Ooppera tram stop. The stop is located at the junction of
Mannerheimintie and Runeberginkatu. You can get on the tram
anywhere along the route and enjoy the performances at the normal
fare.

The tram offers passengers diverse cultural experiences every
week. The program includes music, dance, theater and recitation. In
June, the program features music by Tribaduuri and Veljekset
Hämäläinen, dance artists Heidi Masalin and Virva Talonen, a taste
of Helsinki Pride festival program, a video installation produced
by the Distribution Centre for Finnish Media Art, and Photo Raw:
Łukasz Sokół – The Most Precious Thing photo exhibition.

The Culture Tram is a joint project of HSL, HKL and Korjaamo
Culture Factory. The program is produced by Korjaamo. The timetable
is available on
HSL's website. Details about the program can be
found online at
www.korjaamo.fi/culture-tram.
