HSL brings Jukka Poika to the World Village Festival

Cooperation between HSL and the World Village Festival
continues. This year HSL will produce a concert by Jukka Poika
& Sound Explosion Band on Sunday 27 May. The concert is also a
culmination of HSL’s Travel Peace campaign Before Jukka Poika’s
performance, HSL will hand a book containing passengers’ wishes
gathered during the campaign to decision-makers. Jukka Poika’s
‘Matkarauhaa’ song has featured as the signature tune of the Travel
Peace campaign since the beginning of the year. 

The World Village Festival takes place in Kaisaniemi Park and
Railway Square on 26 - 27 May. The festival is open on Saturday
from 11am to 8pm and on Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Entry is free. The
cultural program of the festival will be published on 11 April and
factual program on 19 April.The main organizer of the event is the
Service Centre for Development Cooperation – KEPA, which is an
umbrella organization for nearly 300 different organizations.

This year’s theme is democracy, which will be featured
especially in the factual program. The cultural program will
feature several artists from the Middle East and North Africa.
