There are changes to tram routes due to the renovation of the Ehrenströmintie bridge located close to the Olympia Terminal. The works began on 5 May. The changes apply to tram route 1A, 2 and 3. There are also minor changes to the timetables. PLEASE NOTE, the work will not be completed within the original time scale and the diversion routes will remain in place until 15 June.
The trams run as follows:
Tram 1 runs along Snellmaninkatu, Aleksanterinkatu, Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Yrjönkatu and Kolmikulma in both directions. Tram 1A does not run during the works. Services on route 1A operate on route 1.
Tram 2 turns around at the Market Square from where it returns back in the direction of Kamppi under route number 2.
Tram 3 uses its normal route until Laivurinkatu from where it turns right and runs along Tehtaankatu and Perämiehenkatu and back along Laivurinkatu continuing in the direction of Hakaniemi along its normal route.
A replacement bus 3X runs along Mannerheimintie via the Market Square to Tehtaankatu and Laivurinkatu to the terminus of bus 18. The bus has a timing point at the Market Square when going from Erottaja to Eira.
