Bus and tram stop improvement works in downtown Helsinki will begin on 19 May. The stops are in use as usual but the stop shelter being worked on is closed and a temporary bus stop pole is installed close to it. The electronic timetable displays at the stops are out of use during the work.
The duration of work on each stop ranges from a few hours to a few days, depending on the scope of the work. At the busiest stops, works are carried out at night time as far as possible.
In total 150 stops will be upgraded. The works will be carried out throughout the summer. JCDecaux is responsible for the works.
