On Maundy Thursday 17 April, a Friday service will operate with the exception of Espoo service routes which will operate a normal Thursday service.
On Good Friday 18 April, a Sunday service will operate. The U line SS services will not run. On the night of Good Friday, night bus services will run and the Metro will operate the extended weekend service.
Also the following commuter trains will run on the night of Good Friday: I trains from Helsinki at 10.46pm, 11.16pm and 11.46pm; I trains from Tikkurila at 11.46pm and 0.16am; N trains from Helsinki at 0.01am, 1.01am, 2.01am and 3.01am; N trains from Kerava at 0.45am, 1.45am, 2.45am and 3.45am; T trains from Helsinki at 2.31am and 4.01am; H train from Riihimäki at 11.14pm; T trains from Riihimäki at 0.37am and 1.37am; and L trains from Helsinki at 2.47am and 3.47am.
On Holy Saturday, a Saturday service will operate. Easter bonfires are lit in Seurasaari on Holy Saturday, and an additional bus service 24S will run from Erottaja to Seurasaari at 5.23pm, 6.05pm and 6.50pm and from Seurasaari to Erottaja at 5.46pm, 8.32pm and 7.15pm.
On Easter Sunday, a Sunday service will operate. The U line SS services will not run. On the Easter Sunday night, bus, tram and commuter trains will operate as on the night of Good Friday.
On Easter Monday, a Sunday service will operate. Also the U line SS services will run.
HSL’s customer services over the Easter holidays
On Maundy Thursday, HSL’s service point at the Central Railway Station will be open until 5pm. The service point in Itäkeskus will be open until 5.15pm and the service point in Pasila until 4pm. The service points will be closed from Good Friday until Easter Monday with the exception of the Central Railway Station service point which will be open on Holy Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
HSL’s customer service line on 09 4766 4000 will be open on Maundy Thursday until 7pm and over the Easter holidays from 9am to 5pm.
Tram routes 7A and 7B diverted on Good Friday evening due to Via Crucis
Tram routes 7A and 7B will be diverted to run via the Central Railway Station and Kaisaniemenkatu instead of Kruununhaka on Friday evening approximately from 9.20pm to 11pm due to the traditional Via Crucis Easter play.
Some 15,000 spectators are expected to attend the event and there may be some traffic hold-ups when the procession moves from the Kaisaniemi Park to Unioninkatu.
