Invoiced season tickets valid until further notice discontinued from 31 December

The ticketing and information system redesign underway brings changes to the payment of season tickets. HSL’s e-invoice and direct debit agreements as well as invoice agreements on employer-subsidized commuter tickets valid until further notice terminate at the latest on 31 December. Travel Cards included in these agreements will no longer be valid for travel unless they are updated before the end of the last invoicing period.

We have send letters to all customers concerned to inform them of the termination of the agreements. The letter also states the expiry date of the season ticket(s).

What should you do if you have an e-invoice or direct debit agreement and you have not yet updated your Travel Card?

You need to visit an HSL service point to terminate the agreement and update your Travel Card in order to be able to use it after the termination of the invoice agreement.

You must update your Travel Card before the end of the last invoicing period. You can check the date either on the December invoice or the letter sent to you.

Please bring with you your Travel Card and official proof of identity.

If you do not update your Travel Card by the deadline, it will be closed. The card cannot be reactivated. A card charge of €5 will be charged for a new Travel Card. In addition, we will charge a €6 service fee if the value loaded on your current Travel Card is transferred to a new card.

You can load your Travel Card at numerous sales points

You can load your Travel Card in many places, for example, at R kiosks in the HSL area, ticket machines and several stores. The loading points display a Travel Card sticker. You can load a season ticket of 14–366 days at a time.

In My Travel Card you can set up a free email reminder that alerts you when your season ticket is expiring. Register to the service and set up a reminder: https://omamatkakortti.hsl.fi/

Commuter vouchers for commuting

Also invoiced employer-subsidized commuter tickets valid until further notice will be discontinued from 31 December. Travel Cards included in the invoice agreements will no longer be valid after the end of the last invoicing period. HSL has sent instructions for companies by mail.  For more information, please contact: yritysmyynti@hsl.f

Companies can pay for employer-subsidized commuter tickets by invoice also in the future but season tickets are loaded for a limited period and paid for in one payment. Employers can also support their employees' commuting by offering commuter vouchers or electronic payment methods provided by private companies.
