Residents’ meeting to discuss the future bus network in Kerava on 13 January

HSL is currently preparing a route network plan for Kerava for 2016 – 2026. The draft plan will be presented at a meeting held at the Kerava Library on Tuesday 13 January 5pm – 7pm. HSL’s public transport planners and representatives of the Town of Kerava and as well as the bus operator will be attending the meeting. Welcome to discuss the plan and have your say!

In the coming years, the Helsinki region public transport system will undergo major changes when, for example, the Ring Rail Line and West Metro open and HSL’s new ticketing and information system is introduced. Now is a good moment to not only assess the impacts of the changes on Kerava but also address other development needs in the town's transport services.

The plan includes the bus network in Kerava as well as bus routes to Sipoo, Vantaa and Helsinki. In addition, connections needed in the direction of Tuusula and Järvenpää are studied. The aim is to create an efficient, clear and regularly running bus route network for Kerava to serve the current travel needs as well as possible.

The route network plan will be completed during spring 2015. The plan must be approved by HSL’s Executive Board.
