Changes to tram services from 14 August
Helsinki’s new tram network will be launched on 14 August. There will be changes to tram routes 1, 2, 3, 7 and 9. The new route network is designed to ensure even and regular headways on the most important sections of street network with a combination of two routes. Each tram route provides easy access to the key hubs, from where passengers can continue using another mode of transport or by foot.
All tram routes will have a departure and end point, when the so called circular routes are replaced by straight ones. Trams 2 and 3 will no longer run a figure of eight loop and trams 7A and 7B will be replaced by new routes 2 and 7 (West Terminal – Itä-Pasila).
For more information about the new tram routes, see see hsl.fi/en/tramroutes2017

The biggest changes to bus routes will take place in North East Helsinki, where a totally new route network will be rolled out. Most of the bus routes in the area will change and some route numbers will change, too. In addition, some routes will be withdrawn and replaced by rerouting others.
