New bus routes for South Espoo and Lauttasaari from 3 January, information bulletin distributed to households in the affected area

A bulletin providing information about the changes to bus services in South Espoo and Lauttasaari has been distributed to households in the affected area. The changes will take place on 3 January. New bus routes will roll out in South Espoo and Lauttasaari, with switch from direct bus routes to feeder services to Metro stations.

The information bulletin has been distributed to about 163,000 households in Espoo south of Turuntie, in Lauttasaari, Lehtisaari and Kuusisaari in Helsinki as well as in southern parts of Kirkkonummi. The bulletin is also available at HSL’s service points and online. The bulletin is in Finnish, with summaries in Swedish and English.

From Wednesday 3 January, bus routes running along Länsiväylä to Kamppi will be replaced by feeder services to Metro stations. The key interchanges are Matinkylä and Tapiola. Other interchanges include Niittykumpu, Urheilupuisto and Aalto University.

In addition, there will be major changes to bus routes operating within Espoo, with improved crosstown bus links. From 3 January, regional bus routes currently running from Kirkkonummi to Kamppi in Helsinki will terminate at Matinkylä bus terminal.

All Lauttasaari buses will run to or via Lauttasaari Metro Station.

Outside the Metro operating hours, night buses will serve the Kamppi terminal, as currently. Night buses serving Lauttasaari will leave from the Kamppi terminal (112N via Lauttasaari to Friisilänaukio) and Asema-aukio (20N).
