HSL’s refund instructions are applied to the industrial action by the Finnish Locomotive Drivers’ Union as follows:
If the passenger’s season ticket was valid during the industrial action, the passenger can get refund for maximum two days.
Passengers can get refund for a season ticket loaded on a Travel Card if they can reliably show that they have not been able to use public transport on their usual journeys during the industrial action. The refund will be granted as a season ticket or value loaded on the Travel Card on the basis of a claim for refund once the industrial action is over.
The refund application must be submitted within two months from the end of the industrial action. You can submit the refund application at any Travel Card service point or mail it directly to HSL:
