The Metro and tram services will not operate on Friday 2 February due to a strike. In addition, tram services will not operate on Friday night. Normal service will resume on Saturday morning.
Most bus services in the HSL area will not run on Friday 3am-6pm. Bus services will resume gradually after 6pm. Cancellations are expected during the evening. Late evening bus services and night buses are expected to operate as usual.
Some bus services will run, information about the services running will be provided later.
Commuter trains and the Suomenlinna ferry are expected to operate as usual. However, the poor weather conditions may cause delays and cancellations to train services.

No replacement services provided, the Journey Planner shows most of the routes running
HSL will not provide replacement bus services because bus drivers as well as Metro and tram drivers are on strike. There is no staff to provide replacement services.
The Journey Planner shows commuter train services and bus services that are mainly running as well as bus services after 6.30pm. In addition to the services shown in the Journey Planner, there may be some bus services running, depending on how many drivers are working on Friday. Some services scheduled to be operated after 6.30pm may not operate.
Refund for HSL season ticket holders
If possible, we advice passengers to use commuter trains, walk, cycle or ride-share.
HSL’s ticket inspectors will be assisting passengers at Helsinki Airport, in Tikkurila, at the Katajanokka terminal, West Terminal, Railway Square and Elielin aukio.
HSL will refund one day of season tickets valid on 2 February 2018 for passengers who have not been able to use public transport on their regular journeys due to the strike. Refund is given as a season ticket or value loaded on Travel Card. In order to get the refund, customers must visit a Travel Card service point. No application form is necessary. Customers can claim for refund from Saturday 3 February 2018. Taxi fares will not be refunded.
