Some commuter trains will not run between Helsinki and Pasila after Midsummer due to upgrading works on the Helsinki rail yard. In addition, improvement works will be carried out on the stops of trunk route 500 on Itäväylä.
3 April–31 August: Street works on Mechelinkatu
Tram route 8 will be diverted (Ooppera–Arabia) and bus 8X will replace the tram between the Opera and Jätkäsaari. Detailed traffic bulletin
12–14 May: Excavation works on Ruoholahdenkatu
14 May–3 June: Street works on Tukholmankatu
Tram route 4 will be diverted (Katajanokka – Pikku Huopalahti) and bus 4X will replace the tram between the Opera and Munkkiniemi.
25 June–22 July: Street works on Nordenskiöldinkatu
Tram routes 2 and 7 will be diverted, they will not serve Länsi-Pasila:
Tram 2 will run from the Olympia Terminal via Lasipalatsi, Töölö and the Opera to Vallila (St. Paul’s Church/Paavalinkirkko).
Tram 7 will run as usual but its terminus will be Pasila station.
Bus 2X will serve the section of route not served by the tram (Postitalo – Länsi-Pasila – Pasila station).
24 June–5 August: Track works at the Helsinki rail yard (Helsinki–Pasila)
The works will be conducted in two phases and most passengers will need to change trains at Pasila. Some commuter trains will not run to Helsinki.
3–24 September Street works on Mannerheimintie between Nordenskiöldinkatu and Reijolankatu
Tram routes 4 and 10 will be diverted (tram 4: Katajanokka – Töölö depot, tram 10: Kirurgi – Töölö depot), and bus 4X will replace tram 4 between the Opera and Munkkiniemi and bus 10X will replace tram 10 between the Opera and Pikku Huopalahti.
During the spring and summer months: Itäväylä
Improvement works will be carried out on the stops of trunk route 500 on Itäväylä. The works will affect journeys on the route. For example, the stops on Tynnyrintekijänkatu will be closed for about three weeks from Midsummer.

Information about street works, stop relocations and diversions will be available at hsl.fi about two weeks before the changes take effect. In addition, information about the changes will be provided at bus and tram stops, stations and on board.
