Central Railway Station Metro Station to reopen on Monday 26 August, lifts remain closed

The Central Railway Station Metro Station will reopen on Monday 26 August but lifts at the station will remain closed until further notice. The lifts are likely to remain closed a long time due to damages from water ingress.

The closest accessible routes to the Central Railway Station are via the Helsinki University or Kamppi Metro Stations. Cyclists and passengers traveling with prams or wheelchairs should use these stations.

Accessible routes for those traveling to/from the Central Railway Station:

To the east: Trams 3, 6, 6T, 7 or 9 from Kaivokatu (i.e. in front of the station) to the Helsinki University or Hakaniemi Metro Stations.

To the west, i.e. to Espoo: Trams 7 and 9 from Kaivokatu (i.e. in front of the station) to tram stops on Simonkatu or Kampintori, from where you can continue to the Kamppi Metro Station.
