Have your say on the draft route network plan for Haaga by 3 November

HSL has drawn up a draft route network plan for Haaga. The draft plan is open for comments until 3 November. You can view the draft plan on a blog (in Finnish only).

People who live or regularly travel in the Haaga area are invited to comment on the draft plan.

You can also give your feedback via HSL’s feedback system and customer service.

Once the period for comments has closed, HSL’s planners will review all feedback. The plan will be completed by the end of the year. The new route network is due to be introduced in August 2021.

Current routes replaced by a trunk bus route

The draft plan involves bus routes 33, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 52 and 431, which serve Haaga and Kannelmäki. A key suggested change is that routes 40, 41 and 43 would be replaced by a trunk route. The trunk bus would run a frequent service from the city center via Etelä-Haaga and Pohjois-Haaga to Kannelmäki.

The draft plan is based, for example, the Haaga travel survey and comments HSL received via the blog on the plan as well as on previous customer feedback.

The objective is to simplify the route network, making it easier for passengers to use, and to improve feeder services.

Residents’ meeting in Pohjois-Haaga on 24 October

HSL will hold a residents’ meeting to discuss the draft route network plan at the auditorium of Valkea talo on Thursday 24 October 6pm to 7.30pm. The address is on Ilkantie 4, Helsinki.

The meeting will open with a presentation by HSL, followed by a question and answer session and discussion.
