HSL’s ticket sales network set to expand at the beginning of next year

From the beginning of 2020, HSL’s ticket sales network will expand in phases from 265 sales points to more than 550 sales points. The HSL Executive Board decided this on 17 September.

In addition to the current sales points – mainly R-kiosks – HSL cards and top ups will also be available at sales points of HOK-Elanto, Varuboden-Osla (S Group) and Kesko (K Group).

“Thanks to the competitive tendering, our sales point network will significantly expand when nearly all grocery stores in the region will start selling our tickets,” says the Director of HSL’s Customer Experience and Sales Department, Mari Flink.

The new suppliers have committed to selling and topping up HSL cards until the end of 2024. The agreement also includes an option to extend for a further period of time. The agreement covers HSL municipalities, the surrounding region and the largest cities in Finland.

The new sales points of the S Group and K Group are scheduled to start selling HSL cards in about a year from the beginning of the agreement, once the POS integration has been completed.

Online top up of HSL cards will also be available soon. HSL cards can also be topped up at HSL service points, municipal HSL service points and ticket machines.
