Season ticket refund due to the bus driver strike on 25 November

The Transport Workers’ Union AKT has launched a sympathy strike in support of the ongoing national postal workers’ strike. The strike halted most of HSL bus services at 3am on Monday 25 November. The strike will end on Tuesday 26 November at 3am.

If you have a valid season ticket either on your HSL card or on the HSL app and you can show you were unable to use public transport on your regular journeys due to the strike, you may get refund for your ticket. We refund one day of season tickets. The refund is given as a season ticket or value loaded on the HSL card. If you have a season ticket on the HSL app, the refund is issued at as a ticket code. You can use the code to buy a day ticket via the app.

You must claim the refund within two months from the end of the strike. A refund claim form is available below. Please fill in the form and take it to a service point, send  it by email to: apj@hsl.fi, or by mail to HSL Helsinki Region Transport, PO Box 101, 00077 HSL. If you are sending the form by mail, please note that there are delays to letters if the postal strike continues. The claims will be processed as soon as possible once the strike is over.

You will be notified of the decision by mail. You can get the refund as value or season ticket loaded on your HSL card at a service point. Refunds for tickets on the HSL app can only be collected from HSL service points at the Central Railway Station, in Itä-Pasila and in Itäkeskus.
