Lifts to the Central Railway Station Metro Station to reopen on 17 March

Lifts to the Central Railway Station Metro Station will reopen on Tuesday morning 17 March. The lifts have been closed from August 2019 due to water damage.

Lifts to the Central Railway Station Metro Station will reopen on Tuesday morning 17 March. Once the lifts are reopened, the metro station will again be fully accessible. Until the reopening of the lifts, the closest accessible route is via Kamppi and Helsinki University Metro Stations.

The station is a busy interchange between different modes of transport. An accessible route from the metro station to train platforms as well as to tram and bus stops is via the lift at entrance A on Kompassitaso. An accessible route to the Central Railway Station is via the corridor from Elielinaukio.
