Train services resuming in Helsinki

Train services are gradually resuming in the Helsinki metropolitan area.  Train services were disrupted in the morning between Helsinki and Tikkurila, Helsinki and Karjaa, as well as Helsinki and Vantaankoski due to a failure in the signaling system at the Helsinki Central Railway Station. The failure will continue to affect train services in southern Finland for several hours.

Buses, trams and the Metro run as usual. You can search for alternation transport links with the Journey Planner’s advanced search. When you exclude train from the transport modes offered, the Journey Planner suggests other modes of transport for the selected route.
