Tram routes 2, 3, 4, 4T, 7A and 7B will be diverted on Wednesday 31 December from about 7.50pm due to New Year celebrations at the Senate Square. Buses will replace tram services in Eira and Katajanokka.
The trams 2 and 3 will run to the terminus of tram 1A on Pursimiehenkatu. Bus 3X will replace the trams in Eira. The bus will run from the Market Square via Eteläranta, Laivasillankatu, Tehtaankatu and Laivurinkatu to Viiskulma.
The bus 3X will leave from the Market Square from the “Kauppatori” bus stop (2004) and its terminus will be the “Viiskulma” stop (1174) on Pursimiehenkatu.
The trams 4 and 4T will run to Kolmikulma. Between Lasipalatsi and Katajanokka the trams will be replaced by buses 4X and 4TX, which leave from the “Erottaja” bus stop (1900).The buses will run along Mannerheimintie, Eteläesplanadi, Katajanokanlaituri and Satamakatu to Kruunuvuorenkatu from where bus 4X will continue to Merisotilaantori and bus 4TX to the Katajanokka terminal.

The trams 7A and 7B will run via Kaivokatu and Kaisaniemenkatu. The trams will not serve Aleksanterinkatu, Snellmaninkatu and Liisankatu.
