A new stop for buses going to Pasila will open in Kalasatama on 9 December.
The stop will be served by all buses traveling from Kalasatama in the direction of Pasila: route 50 to Suursuo, route 58 to Munkkivuori, route 58B to Meilahti and rout 59 to Pajamäki. The stop is located a short distance away from the current Kalasatama Metro Station stop (2557). Access to the stop will be via a new underpass. The stop number of the new stop is 2559.
Buses going in the direction of Pasila have not been able to stop at the Kalasatama Metro Station since 28 November when a new slip road to Sörnäisten rantatie was opened. The turn to the slip road, right after the old bus stop, is tight. The buses cannot move to the left hand lane in the direction of Pasila from the stop.
The new stop could not be constructed before the new slip road was opened.
The new traffic arrangements are due to the construction of the Kalasatama center, Redi. The current arrangements will remain in place until 2017.
