Commuter train services resuming on the Ring Rail Line

The power failure on the Ring Rail Line is over. Commuter train services are returning to normal.  

On Friday there was a power failure in the Ring Rail Line tunnel and the tunnel was closed. Trains were not running between Hiekkaharju and Vantaankoski, i.e. trains didn't serve the following stations.  Leinelä, Helsinki Airport, Aviapolis, Kivistö, Vehkala. Trains were replaced by buses.

Replacement bus 573X is running between Vantaankoski and the airport. The bus stops at Vantaankoski, Vehkala, Kivistö, Aviapolis and the airport. The bus is running about every 10-15 minutes. The bus leaves from bay 14 in front of Terminal 1 and bay 27 in front of Terminal 2.

Bus 575X is running between Tikkurila and the airport. The bus leaves from bay 5 at the Tikkurila bus terminal and from the airport, the bus leaves from bay 12 in front of Terminal 1 and bay 25 in front of Terminal 2. The bus runs about every 15 minutes. The bus leaves from bay 5 at the Tikkurila bus terminal and from the airport from bay 12 (T1) and bay 25 (T2). The bus stops also at the Ilmalantie bus stops on Lentoasemantie.

Services are added on route 615. Extra buses operate under route number 615X between Rautatientori (Central Railway Station) and Helsinki Airport. The bus leaves from Rautatientori bay 12 and from the airport from bay 12 (Terminal 1) and bay 25 (Terminal 2).

I and P trains are running between Helsinki and Vantaankoski on the western section of the Ring Rail Line.  K trains are replaced by N trains. Passengers going from Helsinki to Hiekkaharju or the other way round can use N trains.
