Additional services on I and P trains to Vantaa Rockfest 9–10 June and diversions to bus routes 432, 433 and 433K on 7–12 June

HSL will provide additional services on I and P trains during the Rockfest held in Vehkala, Vantaa 9-10 June. On Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening, I and P trains will be operated with normal headways but with extra carriages. These trains will not stop at Ilmala. This information shows in the Journey Planner.

Additional services on Friday night

There will be additional train services on the Ring Rail Lin on Friday night 9 June until about 3.20am. The following additional services will operate from Helsinki: P train at about 11.57pm, I train at about 11.54pm and L train at 1.31am and 2.31am.

In addition to the normal services, P trains will run from Vehkala station via Tikkurila to Helsinki about every 10 minutes from 1.10am to 2.40am and about every 30 minutes from 2.40am to 3.20am. These trains will not take passengers before the Vehkala station, i.e. Vehkala is the first station where passengers can boars the extra trains. 

I trains will run from Vantaankoski station via Huopalahti to Helsinki about every 20 minutes 1.10am–3.10am. The trains will not take passengers before Vantaankoski, i.e. Vantaankoski station is the first station where passengers can board these trains. After Vantaankoski, the trains will serve all stations except foe Ilmala. 

The extra trains will leave as soon as they are full so the departure times are approximate. The trains will run as usual, but passengers cannot board them until at Vehkala or Vantaankoski and they will not stop at Ilmala. The extra trains do not show in the Journey Planner.

Additional services on Saturday night

On Saturday night, there will be additional train services until about 2.40am. The following trains will run from Helsinki: P train at 11.57pm and I train at 11.54pm.

In addition to the normal services, P trains will run from Vehkala via Tikkurila to Helsinki about every 20 minutes 0-55am-2.40am. I trains will run from Vehkala via Huopalahti to Helsinki every 20 minutes 1.15am-2am. Vehkala is the first stop for the trains. I trains will serve all stops after Vehkala, except for Ilmala.

Buy your ticket in advance

As a there are no parking facilities in the festival area, festival goers are advised to use public transport or bicycle or walk to the venue. We recommend that you buy your ticket in advance. For example, a two-day regional ticket allows you to travel on all HSL’s modes of transport during the festival at 21 euros. The ticket is valid also at night. Day tickets are sold, for example, at R-kiosks in the capital region.

Bus routes 432, 433 and 433K diverted on 7-12 June

Sanomatie and Härkähaantie will be closed to traffic 7-12 June due the festival. Bus routes 432 and 433/K will be diverted to run via Martinkyläntie and Vantaankoskentie. The buses will stop at all bus stops along the diversion route.
