Tram routes 2, 3, 4 and 7 as well as bus route 17 will be diverted approximately from 7.50pm on New Year's Eve due to new Year celebrations on the Senate Square.

Diversion route of trams 2 and 3 and replacement bus 3X
Trams 2 and 3 will be diverted to run along Mannerheimintie and Bulevardi to the terminus of tram 6 in Hietalahti approximately from 7.50pm.
Tram 2 will not serve the following stops: "Ylioppilastalo" (on Aleksanterinkatu), "Aleksanterinkatu", "Senaatintori" (Senate Square), "Kauppatori" (Market Square), "Eteläranta" and "Olympiaterminaali".
Tram 3 will not serve the following stops: "Olympiaterminaali", "Kaivopuisto", "Neitsytpolku", "Kapteeninkatu", "Eiran sairaala", "Viiskulma", "Iso Roobertinkatu".
Replacement bus 3X will run from Lasipalatsi along Mannerheimintie, Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu, Laivurinkatu, Tehtaankatu and Laivasillankatu to Eteläranta.
The bus will depart Lasipalatsi leave from the bus stop in front of Lasipalatsi on Mannerheimintie (platform 54, see the stop in the Journey Planner).
In Eteläranta, the bus will depart from the temporary bus stop along Eteläranta, located a short distance from the Old Market Hall in the direction of Olympia Terminal.
Diversion route of tram 4 and replacement buses 4X and 5X
Tram 4 will run from Munkkiniemi to Kolmikulma, it will not serve the section of route between Lasipalatsi and Katajanokka.
The following stops will not be served: "Ylioppilastalo" (on Aleksanterinkatu), "Aleksanterinkatu", "Senaatintori", "Ritarihuone", "Tove Janssonin puisto", "Kauppiaankatu", "Vyökatu", "Puolipäivänkatu" and "Merisotilaantori".
Tram 5 will not operate.
Replacement buses 4X and 5X will run from Postikatu via the Railway Station Square to Kaivokatu, from where they will continue along Kaisaniemenkatu, Liisankatu, Pohjoisranta, Kanavakatu and Satamakatu to Kruunuvuorenkatu. Bus 4X will continue to Merisotilaantori, bus 5X to the Katajanokka terminal.
The buses will depart from the Postitalo bus stop on Postikatu (platform 55, see the stop in the Journey Planner).
Diversion route of tram 7
Tram 7 will run between the Central Railway Station and Hakaniemi via Kaisaniemenkatu. Kruununhaka and Aleksanterinkatu will not be served.
The following stops will not be served: "Mikonkatu", "Aleksanterinkatu", "Senaatintori", "Hallituskatu", "Kansallisarkisto" and "Snellmaninkatu".
Diversion route of bus 17
On bus route 17, services from Munkkisaari from 8.12pm onwards and from Karhupuisto from 8.03pm onwards until the end of service will run in both directions via Kapteeninkatu, Korkeavuorenkatu, Yrjönkatu, Erottaja, Mannerheimintie, Kaivokatu and Kaisaniemenkatu. The bus will serve all bus stops along the diversion route.
The following stops will not be served: "Neitsytpolku", "Kaivopuisto", "Olympiaterminaali", "Pohjoinen Makasiinikatu", "Kauppatori", "Ritarihuone", "Kirkkokatu", "Vironkatu", "Liisankatu".
