On Christmas Eve, Monday 24 December, Helsinki region commuter train, metro, bus, tram and Suomenlinna ferry services will operate a Sunday service throughout the day.
- Buses serving Kirkkonummi, Kerava and Sipoo will run until about 4pm.
- Commuter trains to Riihimäki and Lahti (R and Z trains) will operate a reduced service from 5pm. The L train runnig via Siuntio will not run.
- U line buses will mainly operate a Saturday service until 1pm, after which only some services will be running. However, U line buses 662-665 to Tuusula will operate a Sunday service.
- There will be changes to the timetables of trams 5 and 6T.
On Christmas Day 25 December, a Sunday service will operate approximately from 11am.
- Bus services in Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen and Vantaa will operate a Sunday service from 10.30am. However, buses serving Kirkkonummi and Sipoo will not operate. In Kerava, only bus 633N will run. The bus will operate to a special timetable. U-line buses will operate a reduced service. However, U line buses 662-665 to Tuusula will operate a Sunday service from 11am.
- Commuter trains will operate a reduced Sunday service until approximately 11am, after which a Sunday service will operate. In addition, there will be changes to commuter train services on the night of 25 December due to track works between Helsinki and Pasila.
- Metro services will operate approximately from 10.30am.
- Tram services will run approximately from 11am, trams 5 and 7 will operate according to the passenger ferry operating hours and start service earlier in the morning. There will be changes to the timetables of trams 5 and 6T.
- The Suomenlinna ferry will operate a Sunday service throughout the day.
On Boxing Day 26 December, a Sunday service will operate.
Tram 5 will operate according to the passenger ferry operating hours.

Additional bus services to cemeteries on Christmas Eve
Bus 24X (Asema-aukio(Postitalo) - Hietaniemi) will run to Hietaniemi cemetery. Bus 226A will run to Kelloniemi cemetery and bus 722 to Honkanummi cemetery.
Bus 24X will operate a one-way loop clockwise. The bus will run from the “Postitalo” bus stop (H2038) every 15 minutes 10.40am-4.10pm And from the “Hietaniemi” bus stop (H1269) on Hietaniemenkatu also every 15 minutes 11am-4.30pm. On Christmas Eve, bus 24 will not run via Hietaniemi 8am-8pm. The bus will run directly along Mechelinkatu.

HSL’s service points at the Central Railway Station and in Itäkeskus and Pasila will be closed 24-26 December.
Also HSL’s Penalty Fares Office will be closed 24-26 December.
HSL’s Customer Service line on +358 9 4766 4000 will be open on Christmas Eve 8am-3pm and on Christmas Day and Boxing Day 9am-5pm.
