Update 23 August 9.20pm Metro not running between Kamppi and Helsinki University - Trams 7 and 9 run between Hakaniemi and Kamppi
The metro is currently not running between Kamppi and Helsinki University. The metro operates a reduced service between Matinkylä and Kamppi and between Helsinki University and Mellunmäki/Vuosaari. The disruption is due to flooding at the Central Railway Station metro station following the heavy rain.
The metro service is replaced by buses 20, 21 and 21B serving Lauttasaari, which temporarily run to the Kamppi terminal directly along Porkkalankatu. In addition, a separate replacement bus is running between the Kamppi terminal and Lauttasaari metro station about every five minutes. The replacement bus runs until 11.30pm. The buses serve the stops along the diversion route, e.g. Lapinrinne. The buses do not serve Bulevardi and Eira.
