The traditional truck parade of graduating high school students will affect public transport in downtown Helsinki on Thursday 14 February about 12.45pm to 2pm. Tram routes 1, 2, 3 and 6(T) as well as bus routes 17 and 21 will be diverted. The truck parade will start from Merisatama and proceed via Ehrenströmintie and Laivasillankatu to the actual parade route: Pohjoisesplanadi–Lönnrotinkatu–Hietalahdentori–Bulevardi–Yrjönkatu–Uudenmaankatu–Erottajankatu–Eteläesplanadi.
Tram 1 will run from Mannerheimintie via Aleksanterinkatu to the Olympia Terminal, from where it will continue to its terminus on Pursimiehenkatu about 12.45pm to 2pm. Bulevardi, Fredrikinkatu and Laivurinkatu will not be served, i.e. the following stops will not be served: “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H0813 and H0814) and “Viiskulma” (H0815 and H0816).
Trams 2 and 3 will run from Mannerheimintie via Aleksanterinkatu to the Katajanokka Terminal about 12.45pm to 2pm. Ullanlinna and the following stops will not be served: “Kauppatori” (Market Square, H0430 and H0431), “Eteläranta” (H0432 and H0433), “Olympiaterminaali” (H0434 and H0435), “Kaivopuisto” (H0436 and H0437), “Neitsytpolku” (H0438 and H0439), “Kapteeninkatu” (H0440 and H0441), “Eiran sairaala” (Eira Hospital, H0442 and H0443), “Viiskulma” (H0815 and H0816), “Iso Roobertinkatu” (H0813 and H0814), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802) and “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702).
Tram 6 will run via Simonkatu to Ruoholahdenkatu, from where it will continue to Salmisaari about 12.45pm to 2pm. Bulevardi and Hietalahti will not be served, i.e. the following stops will not be served: “Ylioppilastalo” (H0701 and H0702), “Erottaja” (H0801 and H0802), “Fredrikinkatu” (H0803 and H0804), “Aleksant.teatteri” (H0805 and H0806), “Hietalahdentori” (H0807 and H0808), “Hietalahdenkatu” (H0810), “Kalevankatu” (H0812), “Hietalahti” (H0811) and “Köydenpunojankatu” (H0809). Tram 6T will run from the Central Railway Station via Simonkatu and Kamppi to the West Terminal..
On route 17, services from Karhupuisto 12.42pm to 1.42pm and services from Matalasalmenkuja 12.51pm to 1.49pm will run via the Central Railway Station. The following stops will not be served: “Neitsytpolku” (H0438 and H0439), “Kaivopuisto” (H1984 and H0436), “Olympiaterminaali” (H1987 and H1988), “Pohjoinen Makasiinikatu” (H1985 and H2108), “Kauppatori” (Market Square, H2005), “Ritarihuone” (H2006 and H2007), “Kirkkokatu” (H2008 and H2009), “Vironkatu” (H2010 and H2011) and “Liisankatu” (H2012).
On route 21, services from Vattuniemi 12.27pm-1.28pm will run to Kamppi terminal. No service to Itämerenkatu, Ruoholahti metro station and Eira. Bus 21 will depart from Eira as usual until 12.57pm and again from 2.24pm.
