Prams
You are entitled to free travel when travelling with a child aged between 0 and 6 years in a pram, pushchair or wheelchair. Bicycle trailers for children count as prams.
Advice for travelling with a pram
When travelling with a pram, board the bus using the middle doors. Use the pram button beside the doors to make the doors stay open longer.
When boarding a high-floor bus, lift the pram onto the bus with the handle facing inside. When getting off a low-floor bus, step out first and pull the pram out behind you, handle first.
Please note that drivers can refuse to take on board prams, pushchairs or wheelchairs if no space is available for them.
NB! Prams are usually not carried free of charge on U line buses. On these routes, the bus operators’ own regulations are applied to the transport of prams.
On fully low-floor trams, the space for prams and pushchairs is located by the two front doors. On trams with low middle sections, the space is in the middle.

Use the wheelchair button beside the doors to make the doors stay open longer.
HSL commuter trains (FLIRT trains) have doors with sliding steps that bridge the gap between the train and the platform. The doors are marked with a wheelchair symbol. The step slides out when you press the button marked with a wheelchair logo. Also passengers travelling with a pram can use the slide out step.
When travelling on the metro, please make sure that your pram does not block the aisle. During your journey, please make sure that the pram is securely in place.
At metro stations, use a lift as it is not safe to take prams or pushchairs on escalators.
