HSL will pilot two new mobility services in the Helsinki metropolitan area in 2019

In 2018 HSL carried out a competition called HSL IdeaLab Contest for New Mobility Services. We invited proposals that were feasible and could quickly be developed into a pilot. The services to be piloted had to be sustainable both economically and environmentally and either complement or renew the current service portfolio of HSL.

HSL received 26 excellent applications by the deadline in September 2018, and the winners, carefully selected by the jury based on anonymous applications, were announced in October 2018. In 2019 it’s time to introduce two new service pilots to the inhabitants and travellers of the Helsinki metropolitan region!

HSL invites you to participate in the HSL IdeaLab Contest for New Mobility Services. The official invitation and its appendices are listed below. These documents must be downloaded and filled in in order to participate. Any additional questions related to the IdeaLab competition should be emailed to idealab@hsl.fi by 20 July 2018. The competition is open until 4 September 2018, 4pm Finnish time. Please send your application and appendices to idealab@hsl.fi.

Participation applications that correspond to the invitation and were received by the deadline will be evaluated by the jury. Please note that the jury will assess the participants’ applications anonymously. In other words, the applications may not reveal who the applicant is. Anonymity applies to the whole working period of the jury: applicants may not contact or discuss the applications with the members of the jury until the jury has fully completed their work.
