The eastern end of the Aalto University Metro Station, i.e. the entrance on the same side as the university, light rail stops, and the shopping center, will be closed for five days from Monday 14 October to Friday 18 October. During this time, only the Tietotie entrance will be open.
The closure is scheduled for the autumn school break so that inconvenience to passengers is minimized. The lifts and escalators will reopen on Saturday 19 October. Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd is responsible for the work.
During the five-day closure, the scaffolding erected for maintenance work in July will be dismantled. The work involved replacing fire alarms and maintenance of lighting.
Regular maintenance and upkeep are crucial to ensure that the station remains functional and safe.

The shortest route from the main entrance on Otaniementie (entrance A) to the Tietotie entrance (entrance B) is via the A Bloc shopping center and Biologinkuja to Tietotie. Access through A Bloc is available during the Metro operating hours.
Alternatively, you can also take the light rail from Otaniementie to the Keilaniemi Metro Station (from bay 11) or trunk bus 510 to the Tapiola Metro Station (from bay 13).
