Health center side entrance at Myllypuro Metro Station to be closed from Monday, 6 October due to construction – Metro services unaffected

Due to the expansion of the Health and Wellbeing Center, there will be changes to access routes at Myllypuro Metro Station. Starting Monday, 6 October, only the entrance on the Metropolia side will be open. The entrance on the Jauhokuja and health center side will be closed. The Jauhokuja entrance is expected to reopen in 2028, once the extension and new Metro entrance are completed. The Metro will continue to operate as usual throughout the construction work.

The extension to the Myllypuro Health and Wellness Center will be built next to the existing health center, partially above the Metro tracks.

To make room for the extension, the entrance building on the Jauhokuja side will be demolished. A new Metro entrance will be constructed within the extension and is expected to open in 2028.

The construction work and the closure of one entrance will not affect Metro or bus services in the area.

Please note that access routes at the health center end of the station may be narrower than usual even before the closure, due to scaffolding and the construction of a temporary emergency exit.

Access to the Metro only from via the western entrance from 6 October

During construction, you can access the Metro only via the entrance on the Metropolia, Orpaanporras and Myllypuro Shopping Center side at the western end of the station. A lift and escalators are available at this entrance.

The Myllypuro Health and Wellbeing Center will remain open as usual during the construction of the extension. From 6 October, the shortest accessible route from the Metro to the health center will be via the Metropolia side, passing by Liikuntamylly and crossing Jauhokuja. Signs will help you find your way.
