The departure stop and terminus “Korkeasaari” (H4033) for bus route 16, which runs from Rautatientori (Railway Square) to Mustikkamaa, will return to its original location on Monday, 1 December.
At the same time, the newly renovated Korkeasaarensilta Bridge, which connects Mustikkamaa and Korkeasaari, will be opened to pedestrians. Korkeasaarensilta Bridge and Finkensilta Bridge, which is part of the Crown Bridges, will be opened to all pedestrians. For the time being, bicycles and other light vehicles must be walked across Finkensilta Bridge, as the bike lanes on the bridge will not open until later. Finkensilta Bridge, which connects Nihti and Korkeasaari, was opened for visitors to Korkeasaari Zoo in August.

You can also reach Korkeasaari by tram 13
Since August, tram 13 has offered a faster and more convenient connection to Korkeasaari. The "Nihti" (H0870 and H0871) tram stops are within walking distance of the new Finkensilta Bridge, leading to Korkeasaari. Tram 13 runs between Länsi-Pasila and Nihti. If you are traveling to Korkesaari from the city center, change from the Metro to tram 13 at Kalasatama Metro Station.
The tram service on the Crown Bridges is planned to start between Laajasalo and Hakaniemi in 2027. Passengers will be able to travel directly to Korkeasaari Zoo’s main entrance on the new tram line.
