Further details on the change for bus route 92
From Thursday 5 March, bus 92 towards Myllypuro will depart from bay 11, next to its usual bay. From Wednesday 18 March, the bus will again depart from its usual bay (bay 12).
Additional signage will be installed outside the station to guide passengers to the temporary departure bay for bus 92. You can always check the current departure bays for all buses in the Journey Planner.
At later stages of the works, there will also be temporary changes to the departure bays for other buses. We will provide more information about these changes closer to their start dates.

Changes to pedestrian routes at the station
Some indoor areas of the station are partially closed due to renovation works, and some escalators are out of service.
At the moment, restricted areas are mainly located on the bus terminal side of the station (the western end). Despite the closures, all pedestrian routes, lifts and entrances remain available. However, walkways are narrower than usual, routes may be longer, and some routes may be harder to spot due to temporary plywood walls around the worksite.
Currently, pedestrian routes are particularly narrow at Exit B on the Itäväylä side of the station and at the top of the stairs between the bus bays and the eastbound Metro platforms. We recommend allowing a little extra time when changing between buses and the Metro at Itäkeskus.
According to the current estimate, partial closures of indoor areas at the eastern end of the station, i.e. on the Tallinnanaukio and the shopping center side, will begin on Monday, 16 March. As at the western end, all pedestrian routes will remain open despite the restrictions. Later in the spring, renovation work will also begin on the canopies above the bus departure bays. We will provide more detailed information about the next phases of the works together with Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd.
Escalators currently out of service
- The upward escalator between the bus bays and the eastbound Metro platforms. On this side, passengers can use the stairs and the lift.
- Some of the escalators between the eastbound Metro platforms and the shopping center.
- On this side of the station, there are normally three escalators. However, one is currently out of service for repairs, and another is damaged and stopped, but can be used as a regular staircase when walking down. One escalator is operating normally upwards. A lift is also available as usual.
- The escalator currently under repair is expected to return to service next week, after which there will again be one operating escalator in each direction at this end of the station.
