Escalators closed at Tapiola Metro Station from 29 June to 16 August

The work will begin at the western end of the station, on the Länsituuli side, where bus bays 1–7 are located. The long escalators between the bus bay level and the station’s intermediate level will be closed first. These escalators will be closed from 29 June to 19 July.

Lifts at the western end and escalators and lifts at the eastern end will remain in use. However, the lifts at the western end may get crowded at times. The short escalators between the Metro platform and the intermediate level will remain in use on both sides of the station. Access between the Metro and the Park & Ride on the intermediate level will also remain unchanged.

You can also move between the Metro and the Ainoa shopping center via bus bays 10–11, where all escalators will remain in use at this stage. We recommend checking the Journey Planner for alternative interchanges between the Metro and buses instead of Tapiola.

 

Escalators closed from 29 June to 19 July

Short escalators at both ends of the Metro platform will be closed in stages in July and August

According to current estimates, the short escalators at the western (Länsituuli) end of the station will be closed from 20 July to 2 August, and those at the eastern end of the station from 3 August to 16 August.

During the work, you can use the escalators at the other end of the platform to reach the ticket hall level (intermediate level) and walk through the connecting passage to the other end of the station. Lifts will remain in use. The schedule will be updated as the work progresses.
