Maintenance of the fire alarm system, smoke ventilation hatches and lighting is underway at Keilaniemi Metro Station. As a result, escalators in different parts of the station will be closed in phases between April and October.
The work is being carried out by Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd.
Special arrangements at Keilaniemi station from Monday 27 July to Sunday 2 August
The short escalators between the intermediate level and entrance A (southern entrance) will be closed from 27 July. Due to delays in the maintenance work, the long escalators at the northern entrance will also remain closed for a few more days during the week beginning 27 July. They will reopen as soon as possible.
The short escalators at the southern entrance are expected to remain closed until the week beginning 24 August.
The closed escalators are marked on the map with a red cross.
Lifts and other escalators at the station will be in service as usual
Lifts at the station will remain available throughout the maintenance work. Signs are provided to inform passengers about changes to walking routes.
The maintenance work does not affect Metro services.

The fire alarm system, smoke ventilation hatches and lighting at Keilaniemi Metro Station are undergoing maintenance between April and October. During the maintenance work, scaffolding is installed in the escalator shafts.
Escalators at the station are out of service one at a time, which may cause inconvenience when navigating the station. The work has progressed as scheduled and will continue until October.
