HSL is conducting bicycle counts on commuter trains

HSL is conducting bicycle counts to study the number of bicycles carried on commuter trains and the Metro. At the same time, HSL asks passengers for their opinion on the integration of public transport and cycling.

In June, HSL started a one year pilot during which bicycles can be carried on commuter trains at all times, including peak hours, provided there is space.

On the Metro bicycles have been allowed on board at al times. The survey is conducted to obtain more detailed information about the number of bicycles as well as prams and wheelchairs on rail services at different times of the day.

The counts start on 16 September and will continue every day until 1 October. HSL carried out a similar survey a year ago.
