The European Mobility Week encourages people to mix modes of transport

The European Mobility Week , celebrated this year from 16 to 22 September, encourages people to think about their daily mobility choices. This year, the theme is mixing different modes of transport. All smart transport modes are represented: walking, cycling, public transport and smart driving. In the HSL area, the European Mobility Week is celebrated e.g. in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Sipoo. The week ends with the Car Free Day on Saturday 22 September. On the Car Free Day, normal fares will apply on HSL area public transport.
