Changes at the beginning of 2014

A number of route and timetable changes will take place at the beginning of 2014 and Jouko routes in Helsinki will be replaced by new neighborhood routes. In addition, as of 1 January 2014 only HSL’s tickets will be accepted on commuter trains on journeys within the HSL area. Ticket prices will go up slightly.

The routes of the following bus services will change on 1 January:

Helsinki internal routes 78 and 90A

Regional route 231K is withdrawn

Vantaa internal routes 69/69B and 87

The timetables of the following bus routes will change on 1 January:

Helsinki internal route 79

Espoo internal route 65/65K and regional route 165N

Regional routes 519, 520 and 554

Two new bus stops are introduced on Lallukantie  

Jouko routes are replaced by new neighborhood routes

The Jouko routes operating in Helsinki will be replaced by new neighborhood routes at the beginning of 2014. The new routes will operate in the same areas and mainly provide the same connections as the current Jouko routes. On some routes the number of departures will be increased and the operating hours will be extended. Read more

Only HSL’s tickets are accepted on commuter trains in the HSL area

As of 1 January 2014, only HSL tickets will be accepted on commuter train journeys within the HSL area.  Read more

Moderate price increases

As HSL wants to encourage the use of season tickets through pricing, the price of regional season ticket will remain the same while the prices of single tickets will rise the most. The prices of internal season tickets will rise by 1.3 per cent in all HSL municipalities.  Some 80 per cent of HSL’s customers use season tickets.  Read more
