On May Eve, the ticket office is open 9am - 2pm, on May Day 9am - 4.30pm.
In May, the ticket office is open Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm, at weekends and from 1 June onwards every day 9.15am - 6pm. On Midsummer Day, the ticket office will be open from 12noon to 6pm. The office will be open until the end of August.
The office sells single tickets, one day tickets and Suomenlinna tickets. You can pay by cash, credit or debit card. Ferry tickets can be purchased also from the ticket machines available in front of the ticket office at the Market Square. Helsinki internal single tickets purchased from ticket machines are cheaper than the single tickets sold at the office.
Both Helsinki internal and regional tickets are accepted on the ferries. Separate Suomenlinna tickets are accepted only on the ferries (i.e. with Suomenlinna tickets you cannot change to other modes of transport) and they are valid for 12 hours. Tickets are not sold on the ferries.
More frequent service
On May Eve, the Suomenlinna ferry will switch to summer timetables. The ferry will run between the Market Square and Suomenlinna Mon-Fri about every 20 minutes and at weekends every 15 minutes at peak times.
